If you settle and close your matter civilly (even if it is a criminal matter), you do not have to disclose. Vince Neil of Motley Crue does not have an obligation to disclose his vehicular manslaughter conviction for this reason. There are other examples, but Vince's is the easiest to google.
Not knowing the passwords, and keeping them in a locked database you copy/paste from creates plausible deniability if in a situation where one is beaten with a $5 wrench.
For some people, the risk of disclosure by violence is more a worry than the risk of disclosure by the clipboard.

I'd say the original comment by lawnchair_larry comes off as a bit gauche... as if the XKCD "someone is wrong on the internet!" guy came here to post. I never saw the deleted comment, but it seems that after the initial frustration wore off, Thomas thought the better of it.
I've had my disagreements with some of Thomas' positions, including several over crypto/politics stories like this, but if you run out like that to play "gotcha!" it just doesn't feel right.
All it takes is an unrebutted affidavit to get a Judge to retire, or have disciplinary action taken against him. It's a wonder more people don't hold them accountable.
