The secret is to only move up and down when trying to dock.

I rented the vast majority of NES games I played back in the day, getting a manual was uncommon, sometimes they came with a xeroxed copy.

For me, half the fun was trying to figure out how to play the game.

I learned how to land in NES Top Gun from Skip Rogers on VHS.

Ellison wants WBD for the TV networks, including CNN.

I don’t think they want the film division but the vast number of cable channels that Discovery owns. Giving them a rather large control of the American mind share.

If you think the stories in 90's movies are good, you need spend some time with classic era movies (pre-1970).

When you have to let the writing carry the story, the movie works much better.

I watched All the President's Men on a recent flight and even on an airplane seatback screen it had me rapt. No romance, no sex, no violence except a cop pointing a gun in the first 5 minutes, just a good story with two great leads.

Get your magnesium level checked. Those that suffer from chronic migraines often are deficient in magnesium and will see a significant reduction in events after 4-6 weeks on a daily Magnesium supplement.

Ford needs to step up, if it can’t find mechanics.

Pay is too low for entry level people, at maybe $14 an hour. That’s before the Snap-on Truck comes by and saddles that tech with $40k of debt.

Give entry level workers a living wage, and give them tools to use (and keep after investing 3 years in the business). Have an actual pipeline for certification and training and remove the gate keeping of many dealers that prevent good techs from becoming better mechanics. Do better at engineering vehicles so they are easier to work on.

As this CEO knows, doing the right thing is harder than complaining.

Grants are given to those that can make the mundane seem new and exciting.

What is your favorite Firefox alternative?

Good coffee and/or long walks.

I've been using Vivaldi alongside Firefox anyways for the edge cases where non-chromium browsers refused to work but I've switched fully now because of the latest round of AI crap. At least Vivaldi has explicitly committed themselves to keep it out of the browser.

Floorp is good so far switched without regrets

Zen revolutionized my workflow!

Not an alternative, but LibreWolf allows you to stop caring about what bullshit Mozilla tried to force feed you in their latest update.

OpenGL is disabled by default but you can enable it AFAIK (gfx.webrender.software.opengl in about:config).

Are you looking for an ide experience or just a text editor with some options?

If a full IDE is what you are seeking go with DOOM. It will give you a fully put together experience.

If you just want a text editor that you want to slowly add to go vanilla.

Doom is like getting a fully furnished apartment where you can choose the furniture and curtain colors. Vanilla is an empty plot of land that you need to build a foundation, house, and connect to city services all on your own.

I’m really surprised at the numerous comments here admonishing the use of box mix. For most Americans, we don’t do enough baking to warrant having flour and leaveners on hand. It’s just cheaper and more efficient to buy the box mix under $2 and use it when you need it. Besides, the end result for the average person is going to be better than anything they try to scratch make.
