Pretty cool and simple idea, which I would certainly should do myself...

I guess that this "wasting my life" feeling is creeping up everybody's mind now and then, having a devastating effect on your daily productivity.

Some people do this using a diary or even mix this up with GTD...

I'm cracking my mind about this for a long time now and really looking for a solution that works for me.

Nevertheless, just writing it down like this could be a nice first step.

If you care about your privacy, then you could consider ProtonMail as well..

Based in Switzerland and cares a lot about encryption and privacy.

I've tried them as well, and they are very good (and probably the right choice for extremely privacy-minded people), but they are - like most email providers Swiss - very expensive (while not offering the same amount of features that FastMail has, except for in the privacy department).

Have you considered contributing to an open source project?

It allows you to bring a positive change to the project and/or world of your choosing.

I personally would love to work on FOSS the whole day... but yeah.. I guess we are all stuck somewhere :)

Just start small and maybe you'll become one of those damn lucky developers with a fulltime FOSS developer job.
