The HN community can be a good candidate to collectively, over time and use... develop and refine a set of commonly understood tags to communicate context in post titles.
If not in title, then maybe in the top / "pinned" comment.
If they can spread beyond HN... that would be even better.
(Since there are posts on economy related factors and the OP was about Nazi Germany)
At a different level is this somewhat reflective of USA today? (USA today is by no means poor, although it is true that the bottom 50% has stagnated for quite long)
There are many ways to slice this, for example emissions per capita (which can also be current vs historical cumulative, etc.), all of which should be studied since this is a complex problem.
There's a lot of discussion about the forest.. how about some discussion on the trees? Both are important?
I worry about cuts to departments that is on clean energy, EV, sustainability in general. (For thinking that Musk is in that industry so it wouldn't happen, there's consideration that cuts on Govt support in that area will actually benefit the one that's ahead.. that's Tesla for the charging network, the EV sales, the peaker plant replacements, etc.)
Can an app use MPTCP if they don't have a MPTCP-aware server component? Or is Apple proxying (or via VPN) the MPTCP connection as part of their services?
It needs server side support, but the OS just supports it out of the box. On linux enabling multi path is I believe just a configuration flag and then it just works.
and the other comments on lack of MPTCP support from middleboxes, my guess is even for Apple first party apps, out in the wild, might not see much MPTCP use?
Maybe a good idea to work for a short stint in a commercial kitchen?
Not a snark.. it's quite eye opening to see (and actually use) how much food a piece of commercial kitchen equipment processeses in a day and then how much effort it takes to clean them.
A while ago, the failing/risks of banks that were too exposed to particular sectors (crypto/blockchain) brought some discussion on the merits of diversification of key risks.
In a highly partisan landscape with increasing geopolitical tensions, is ownership a key risk to objective news? Is diversification of ownership of news sources a good way to help mitigate that? If so, any good ideas from the HN crowd?
In the current online discourse climate...
