And when it is, the TV programs (where I grew up) need a delay in the loop so they can beep-out rude words if it’s before 21:00. Even mere expletives, let alone directed personal threats of violence, get censored on TV and radio.
The term 'populist' used to just mean popular. It was synonomous with democracy. We've somehow repurposed it to mean something that's closer to authoritarian and bigoted.
My ex roomate was growing mealworms for his iguana and we even ate them.
Raising it was super hard, it was in a plastic box with a few lights, fed our food waste and kept in a closet.
The trick is to get people to eat them, I tried and it was tasting like chips but I wasn't too hard to convince, my girlfriend on the other end couldnt even look at them...We managed to sneak some one day and she liked it but lost any trust in the food my roomate or myself cooked.
The dialed toaster! I have one and probably had one of the funniest nights with my girlfriend being drunk and doing "burning" test with different bread, etc...I own that toaster for years and yet still burn a few slices once in a while.
A lot of people nowadays just want a streamlined experience or doesnt bother to look/experience.
