Starting with the very basics: hibernation & track pads.

Aple software has gotten so much worse over the past few years. I'm back on Android.

I suggest Weawow, which has both Android and iOS apps. Ad free.

This is extremely disappointing. Absolutely turned off applying for or working for any YC companies now.

It's also interesting Garry Tan (YC Partner) has a lot of comments for the masses when it's on a one sided platform like X. But, will never engage here. Oh the irony.

He seems to enjoy spreading factually misguided "statistics" [0] about how Flock is "solving crime". OK buddy.

I mean, just look at how he enagages with those replies. If that's at the helm of YC? WTF.

He and the entire tech ecosystem is in a bubble where being as right wing as possible is currency. Literally middle of the road liberal pg is basically a communist compared to this ecosystem now. It’s extremely short sighted on their part as the dialectic is guaranteed to flip back the other way. Much better to hold your own genuine beliefs than to kowtow to whatever is popular at the time

When did the US even “flip the other way”

The “left” view points of the US currently seem to be similar to Reagan. The furthest left I’ve seen the US go in my lifetime is about David Cameron or Boris Johnson levels of “left”.

Bernie Sanders was nearly the Democratic candidate for president and is still the most popular politician in American politics. However, this countries politics is completely and totally captured by moneyed interests. Our political leadership is openly corrupt and has been for decades. And of course about every decade the US commits another atrocity against some sovereign nation or the other. It does feel a bit hopeless at times

I just checked the American approval of ousting Maduro. It's surprisingly lower than I expected. About an even 33/33/33 split for yes/unsure/no.

There are so many bugs in iOS 26 I've personally experienced. I'd believe anything at this point.

I keep opening my phone "favorites" section and it erroneously reports no favorites. They either eventually load after seconds+ or I have to force close to get them to show.

I am buying an impact driver for someone for christmas. Any recommendations on a fastner/drill bit set?

I use the Milwaukee Shockwave bit sets almost exclusively, they’ve never let me down.

If you seriously think that's realistic I guess I don't know what to tell you.

Pizza chains have delivery fees that aren't paid to delivery drivers. Restaurants have service fees for cooking food and convenience fees for placing orders (even if paying, in cash, when you pick up), on top of the sticker price of the food itself, which used to just be the price.

Some people in this thread have talked about stores having signs saying they'll round change up to the dollar if you pay in cash, and advising to pay by card if you want exact change. I've personally seen businesses have signs on their cash registers that say "our cash register is easily hacked, we strongly recommend paying by cash instead instead of card" (I'm assuming so they can cheat on their taxes).

Businesses will do anything they can get away with to make more money, and they can usually get away with tiny fees like this. It's only a few cents, right? Except for them, it adds up.

#1 Is MAU. I wouldn't find it out of the realm of possibility that only 25% of owners played in the prior month. I wonder what this is for other consoles. I personally contribute to bursts of playing then months of not even touching some of my consoles.

That's honestly be a better time to have it. Most white collar employees are off work or things are at least quiet those weeks.
