Not sure the App Store field should autofocus. Mac menus draw the frame first, then after a delay we see the items. That is inexcusable

Great points and my favourite: The menu now draws a blank frame first, then populates it with items. Sometimes taking up to half a second. Nobody noticed this?

HTML can represent a docx file in a web application but it can never replace docx. Docx files are a protocol for sharing documents between lawyers. I go into more detail on that in the "Docx is a protocol, not a filetype" portion of the essay.
