Wow I'm impress by your project. I'm curious were you working on this just for fun or you had a problem you were trying to solve?

It is awesome, I started browsing and spent a good amount of time looking at offices. Did you start the project with the want to generate revenue or is that something that just later came?

Right now I'm super passionate about bikes. I been riding my fixed gear Cinelli bike all around NYC and I thought building something around that but I just can't seem to find a problem worth solving with software.

Thanks!

I made it for fun on a whim after seeing some photos of Google’s HQ and then not being able to find a place to browse other offices.

It was more for fun and my first advertiser actually contacted me.

One idea I want for running (that translates to bikes) is a map where I can log where I have run to see what areas in my city I haven’t visited as I enjoy the exploratory nature of running. There are plenty of places to log single runs, but seeing them all at a glance would be interesting.

Edit: a quick google search shows me this exists :)

I'm currently studying Robert Sedgewick's Algorithms, 4th Edition book. The book is written in Java so in order for me to have a deeper understanding I'm implementing the solutions on Ruby and JavaScript. Other implementations have been on my own like Linked List.

I'm also going over Rob Edwards professor at San Diego State University Data Structure and Algorithms implementations on YouTube. Subscribe to his channel.

Big shout out to Robert Sedgewick and Rob Edwards for being amazing at their craft. THANK YOU.

Hey All! I recently moved in into a new place in New York. Due to COVID-19 I started working from home, so this meant I needed an office desk setup and decorating the room to feel comfortable working from home. That's why I decided to build www.artsyspace.net

I started using the regular channels for inspirations Pinterest and Reddit. Although, I did seem to like images on Pinterest sometimes the posts didn't have links to purchase the items on the post. I also found myself wanting to ask questions to the post owner, like "Hey that is a cool painting where did you get that" or "Thats a nice plant you have in that image what kind of plant is that?" but couldn't.

ArtsySpace is meant to be a place where you can ask questions, share your space decorations such as home office setup, art arrangement or decoration items.

Tech Stack: Rails 6 Tailwind Css Cloudinary ActivateStorage Vanillas JavaScript Turbolinks

I didn't want to use a front end library for this project since I find Rails Turbolinks to speed up the site nicely without the need to have a front end framework.

Would love to hear your feedback, questions, or to connect with me email me at stevenaguilarcs@gmail.com

Thanks Ya'll

@mariedm awesome community, curious on what tech stack you used? back end and front end. Congrats, looking forward to hear about how it goes with this project.

I like the site, it's quite fast. Seems to be similar to dev.to in speed and functionality.

Thank you, but I think dev.to is built with ruby.

Thank you, I used nodejs + mongodb for the back end and jquery for the front end.

love the feel of your site, great job. I think you would really enjoy this podcast https://mastersofscale.com/caterina-fake-build-a-more-human-... It talks about building community focus tech. I think you should take a look into it.
