I dont think there are any easy solutions to moving it - and it will likely be a mix of removing fuel, easier to reach containers and digging it out. Balanced against the risk of the ship breaking

I don’t see how this is particularly difficult. The ship doesn’t seem damaged, isn’t leaking dangerous materials, isn’t listing, doesn’t seem old and rusty, isn’t close to dangerous rocks, ships can easily get there, there’s plenty of room on shore for material, etc.

It’s ‘just’ the pressure of having millions watch and of wanting to solve it fast that complicates things. You don’t want to spend a month digging if a week suffices, but you also don’t want to spend a week and then break the ship if two weeks are needed.

You also want to think hard on what side of the ship you want your tugboats to be. If they’re on the wrong side, it’s a long trip to correct that.

If this weren’t blocking the Suez Canal, few would have heard about it.
