This will probably be a boon for single cell organism bioengineering.

However, due to the fact of having to stick a reverse transcriptase into the mix to make it a functional platform, and the need to knock-out ssDNAase activity to achieve viable transformants, may ultimately prove problematic in multicellular organisms.

Outcome: Any industrial microbes in use today, will become better, through empirically directed multi-site-mutational screening, subsequently improving yields.
