Our own copy of the software, running on our own computer, yet they presume the right to tell us how we may use our property. Another attack in the war on ownership.


The problem being is we are not technically purchasing a copy of the software. We are purchasing a license to use the software as the creator intended. I completely agree that this is asinine and needs to change, but this is the framework in which we are currently operating.


That's still a war on ownership, just using the law itself as a weapon. But the law is ours to change, and we can withdraw its support of such restrictions, or even forbid them.
