I would log in immediately, they would stop, but then start up again a month or two later. Even though I had logged in, the last time they sent me an email that my number was reclaimed. Then they ignored my emails about their mistake.

I have used Google voice since it was called grand central and have never ran into this.

I suggest purchasing the Google One subscription for $1.99 a month and ask them directly. I would not try to email them.
