Running a law firm on Linux – a year or so in (decoded.legal)

I would love to see more law firms do this, or at least use Nextcloud instead of the sketchy "secure file storage" clouds they utilize today. Even if I asked the firms I interact with to purge my files, neither I nor they could prove that all backups of the files are purged. Having control over the full chain of custody of files would be a big improvement in that industry in my opinion.

That said I would not expect many law firms to do this. A technical person is required and all the firms I have dealt with squeeze every bit of money out of everything they can.

Hey, I am building a legal tech startup and would love to get your input. Will shoot you an email.

Do you use any practice management software? most seem built for Windows so keen to hear what works and what the web/Linux is missing
