Was thinking about that book just yesterday and mixing up some of the themes with The Aviator (related to time). With Laurus the main thing to me was the sense of a living in a world where people thought and valued differently, and not a kind of made for TV Game of Thrones modern-people-living-in-a-medieval world thing. Have you read others of the author's work?

Yes I read “The aviator” right after. I also liked it, in some sense it was just like Laurus, though at the same time a completely different story.

But that was the main thing I noticed, was like, this is a world that thinks completely different from me.
