Full-time staff are correcting OpenStreetMap with one-way restrictions, speed limits, road width. Strava allows OpenStreetMap mappers to see where people walked/cycled to identify missing paths. Facebook is tracing new roads based on machine-learning satellite imagery (https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/RapiD).
