It might actually have a chance at competing with a site like YouTube, if they hadn't embraced the fallacy of free speech absolutism. Online spaces don't grow when that kind of content isn't properly dealt with.
If their goal is to remain a small site that caters to fringe groups, they can do that indefinitely, but that's all they'll ever be.
